Oh, the sticky sweet web I weave . . . this is what I get for “liking” the Dessert Tray on Facebook, I find out about the 8th Annual ChocolateFest happening this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center.

You better believe I’ll be there!!

Presentations at the 8th Annual ChocolateFest

Sure, they’ll be booths for tasting, chocolates for buying, samples for trying . . . but what  ChocolateFest wouldn’t be complete without the Presentations?  Here are just a few of the wonderful ChocolateFest presentations — for learning, for the entire chocolate experience:

SATURDAY

11:30am: WHIPPING UP ROMANCE: EASY AT HOME DESSERTS with Daisy Bactad, Le Cordon Bleu
Spice up these long winter nights in your own kitchen with recipes for spiced chocolate mousse with chantilly cream, chocolate spiced body butter, and truffles.

1:00pm: MEAT LOVERS GUIDE TO CHOCOLATE with Ben Witten, Resident Chef for Sur La Table
Chocolate brined pork tenderloin with walnut pistou – chocolate, chorizo, and olive meat pasties.

2:30pm: Chocolate Drink Recipes with Annatova Goodman, for My Bartender

4:00pm: MOLE SAUCE with Jeff Shepherd of Lillie Belle Farms
This spicy Mexican dish infuses New Mexican, Guajillo, Chipotle and Ancho chillies with chocolate to be served over chips.
