Lake Oswego is one of the most affluent suburbs of Portland. The City of Lake Oswego is an area located south of Portland. Lake Oswego maintains its own City of Lake Oswego Fire Departmnet, Lake Oswego School District, Lake Oswego Library and Lake Oswego Police Department. Near enough to downtown Portland, for a 15 minute commute, and yet separated enought giving Lake Oswego its distinct feel while still being considered one of the Portland Metro’s PREMIERE locations. A very good mix of condo/town home and planned communities such as Mountain Park (a nice neighborhood in Lake Oswego), and large estates, Lake Oswego has it all. Even its own lake, hence “Lake Oswego” where boating, fishing and paddle boats are favorite activities.
