NE Portland Neighborhoods

Portland Metro  is comprised of five key Portland neighborhoods:

NE Portland Historically

The NE Portland neighborhoods have a mix of some of the oldest and more affluent homes combined with diversified area of modern homes, mixed-use properties and commercial businesses.  Over the years, NE Portland has had community improvement projects which brought home values up throughout the area.  The King Neighborhood Association and The Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods continue to build a strong  neighborhood in NE Portland by advancing  livability through highly inclusive civic engagements.

Blending the new with the old, NE Portland has maintained and preserved some of the original characterizations of a bygone era with many properties on the National Register of Historic Places.  Currently there are 77 homes, apartments and businesses in NE Portland which are on the National Register of Historic Places including:

Each of the Five Quadrants making up the district Portland Neighborhoods offer neighborhoods unique unto themselves.  NE Portland is no different.  With planned communities built over 100 years ago, the NE Portland Neighborhoods offer distinction unto themselves and include:

Local Venues

The NE Portland neighborhood is residential but NE Portland is also is home to many large venues which attract visitors, fans, convention attendees, shoppers attracted to the Portland’s own Rose Quarter.

The Rose Quarter is located in NE Portland on a, roughly, 30 acre area which includes sports and entertainment for area residents and visitors.  The Rose Quarter is jointly owned by Vulcan Sports and Entertainment (a division of Paul Allen’s Vulcan, Inc.) and the City of Portland.
