Portland Real Estate Supra Lockbox Activity — Week Ending 11/18/12
What is the Supra LockBox?
The Supra Lockbox is the magic access key that allows agents to open the doors on listed property. It also keeps statistics, and as you can see, there has been a DECREASE in activity, and this includes Portland, OR real estate activity. This does NOT mean that sales, closed transaction, inventory have DECREASED or INCREASED.
This is the last report I published: Supra LockBox Activity Week Ending 10/28/12. In that report, the number of entries recorded was down 10%.
As you can see from this chart, there is a -5.9% DECREASE in Supra Lockbox activity.
Levels tend to drop considerably after mid-October (again, due to the weather and upcoming holidays.)
During the next few weeks, the levels will be decreasing, as I’m sure there will be many buyers NOT out looking. But, my opinion is . . . with the Portland Metro areas’ inventory level DOWN significantly, Buyers should not wait.

Although there is a decrease of Supra LockBox activity, buyers who are out are serious and with low levels of Portland Metro real estate inventory, the movement of the market IS NOT reflective by this slowdown.
BUYERS: What that means for you . . . the properties you have interest in might not have the level of activity as expected. These showings are for the RMLS Supra lockbox in the state. The Portland, OR real estate market might have slightly higher levels of activity. But, when Buyers are out now, they are BUYING! So do not wait!
SELLERS: Check and see with your listing agent if the STAT above is holding true with your property. Are you getting any more showings, or has activity level dropped??
